Jesus - His likes, His loves and His passion

He had LL&P too, as all humans do
He had temper
He whipped the money changers in the Temple
There must be some truth in the Da Vinci Code
His love for Mary Magdalene
He was tempted when He fasted 40 days in the desert
to prepare for His life's mission
Again in the garden of Gethsemane
He prayed to God, His heavenly father
to spare Him
Father, I cannot drink of this cup
But He relented in the end
Not my will, but thine be done
In His last moments, hanging from the cross
He had a crisis of belief
Father, Father! why hast thou forsaken me !
Jesus was born a Jew
He revolted, He picked flaws in the Bible (the Old Testament)
such as:
the jewish rituals on washing, etc
on diet
What u put into your mouth dont matter
what comes out of your mouth is important
on stoning the adulteress
let the man who has no sin cast the first stone
on revenge?
'Eye for an eye' said the Holy Book
He said: 'if a man slaps u on one cheek
turn the other cheek'
"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:a time to be born and a time to die,a time to plant and a time to uproot,
-Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
"'We are going up to Jerusalem,' he said, 'and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and teachers of the law. They will condemn him to death and will hand him over to the Gentiles, who will mock him and spit on him, flog him and kill him. Three days later he will rise.'"
-Mark 10:33-34
If Jesus were to come back to Earth
I am pretty sure He wud disown the Christian Church
The church has always bowed to the State
Joan of Arc was burned as a witch by the Church
Gallileo was imprisoned for life by the Church and died in his cell
The Vatican bought peace with Mussolini
by agreeing to remain silent while millions of Jews were gassed by Hitler
The pilot of the plane that carried the Atom Bomb: destination Hiroshima
was blessed by the Bishop of America
CENSORSHIP by The Catholic Church
Every year, the Catholic pope declares a black list of books that Catholics are not supposed to read. Reading them means a certainty of your going to hell.
I was talking to a bishop in Nagpur, because a few of my books had been listed by the Catholic pope as not to be read by any Catholics; whoever reads them is paving his path towards hell. And this is not new, this is an almost eighteen-hundred-year-old tradition in the Catholic Church. Before this century, they used to burn and destroy any book they decided was dangerous for Catholics. Now they cannot do that, but at least they can prevent the Catholics—who are a great majority in the world, seven hundred million people.
I simply said to the bishop of Nagpur, "At least somebody must have been reading my books; otherwise how do they decide? Either the pope himself must be reading, or some associate cardinals in the Vatican must be reading—without reading, you cannot decide that a book is dangerous to the Catholic belief."
He was in a dilemma: he could not say yes, he could not say no. Because if he says 'Yes, somebody reads it,' that means that person is bound to fall into hell. And if that person is not going to fall into hell, then the whole idea is ridiculous; then nobody is going to fall into hell. It is just to keep people's eyes closed: no facts should be allowed to be known to them that go against their belief. splendid
- OSHO
What OSHO has to say about Christians
about me
I was a devout catholic
went to church every day to read the Epistle in church
then Benedict became Pope
He said
Rock music is evil
Gays and les will go to hell
I said bye to the catholic church
my best friends then were les
they are good christians
The church has focussed on things that are not relevant
on condemning contraception by artificial means
on condemning genetic research
Jesus said
Render to Caesar the things that are Caesars
and to God the things that are Gods
the church has no business to talk about other things that fall in the domain of Science and the State

why i left the catholic church
Not only does the Catholic Church contend that the Bible is a "dead letter" and the New Testament is uninspired, but it maintains that the apostles appointed a "divine, infallible apostolate" to direct us. That is essentially the way the Catholic Church endeavors to make room in the realm of religion for papal edicts and the decrees of the Romanist councils. But consider this: "For if the word spoken through angels proved steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense of reward; how shall we escape, if we neglect so great a salvation? which having at the first been spoken unto us through the Lord, was confirmed unto us by them that heard" (Hebrews 2:2, 3). Those who heard the word were the ones to confirm it, and that is in keeping with the following statement of Peter, "Therefore, of these men who have accompanied us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, beginning from the baptism of John to that day when He was taken up from us, one of these must become a witness with us of His resurrection." This was said in regard to one ". . . to take part in this ministry and apostleship from which Judas by transgression fell" (Acts 1:21, 22, 25). Can this so-called "divine, infallible apostolate" qualify? And after the word has been spoken and confirmed, what purpose could such an office serve?

woman as seen in the old testament
Unmarried women were not allowed to leave the home of their father.
Married women were not allowed to leave the home of their husband.
They were normally restricted to roles of little or no authority.
They could not testify in court.
They could not appear in public venues.
They were not allowed to talk to strangers.
They had to be doubly veiled when they left their homes.
In the Hebrew Scriptures, women were generally viewed in a negative light:____________________________________________________________Women were considered inferior to men: Genesis 1:27 to 3:24:
In the first creation story (Genesis 1:27) God is described as creating man, both male and female at the same time: "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." To me, this is interpreted as implying equality between the two genders. But in the second creation story, (Genesis 2:7) God formed only a man: "...the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.Realizing that he needed a helper (Genesis 2:18), God marched all of the animals past Adam (Genesis 2:19-20) looking for a suitable animal. Finding none suitable, God created Eve out of one of Adam's ribs. The term "helper" has historically been interpreted as implying an inferior role for Eve, although some modern interpreters believe that the word can mean a companion of equal status. the Hebrew word translated "helper" is used twenty-one times in the Old Testament: twenty of these cases refer to help from a superior. In Genesis 2:27, Adam later asserts his authority over Eve by naming her: "...she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man." In ancient times, one was believed to have authority over a person or thing by naming it.
Genesis 3:16:Adam's role is to be Eve's master. The King James Version (KJV), New International Version (NIV), and Revised Standard Version (RSV) use the term "rule" to describe Adam's role over Eve: "...thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee." The Living Bible uses the term "master". The Modern Language Bible uses "dominate". By implication, all of their descendents are would have the same power imbalance between spouses. The bad part about all this is...over in the "middle east"...women are still treated this way. Can't drive a car - can't vote - can't go to school - some can't show their face..let alone their legs! Some can't leave their home compound....and you thought you had it rough!
A man could marry (literally "become the master of the woman") as often as he desired. In Genesis 4:19, Lamech became the first known polygamist when he took two wives. Subsequent men who took multiple wives included: Esau with 3 wives; Jacob: 2; Ashur: 2; Gideon: many; Elkanah: 2; David: many; Solomon: 700 wives of royal birth; Rehaboam: 3; Abijah: 14. Jehoram, Joash, Ahab, Jeholachin and Belshazzar also had multiple wives.So...according to the Bible...you've come a long way baby!

Blogs on religion
One of the religions with many blogs is Sikhism. www.sikhiwiki.org is a website which offers a free Sikh encyclopaedia that anyone can edit. The website locates different gurudwaras around the world alongwith articles on Sikh history, beliefs, scriptures and terminology. Other blogs are views of individuals like Otpreka Singh, (http://thepanthicotpreka.blogspot.com) which tackle many relevant issues in the Sikh Panth and provide an overview on Sikhism.
A blog that provides many keertan downloads and literature on Sikhism is http://nir-ankar.blogspot.co. The Muslim community has its own blogs like www.newmuslimz.blogspot.com which is by a Yemeni who wants to educate those who are new to Islam about its various facets. It draws from Islamic literature that is available online and links it to other Islamic blogs.
The life of a simple Jew is explained in a blog called http://a-simplejew.blogspot.com in which thoughts and philosophy on Judaism and life in general are written. Buddhist blogs are popular with many. http://thebuddhistblog.blogspot.com is a place where a man talks about his relationship with Buddhism and provides links to various other such sites. Within Chri-stianity there are various blogs dealing with biblical studies, Catholicism, Methodist and Presbyterian churches. www.christianblog.com is a website which allows people to blog on various aspects of Christianity.
The website was created to provide an easy-to-use blog/journal for Christians around the world. Another blog www.christianorigins.com where one finds diverse essays about early Christianity gathered from books and newspaper articles. There are even blogs on Sufism which one can access on ht-tp://sufistic.blogspot.com.
Blogs are also used by some to show protest against religious figures. One such person is H.H. Swami, a hard-core follower of Sathya Sai Baba for over a decade. He made six trips to see him in India. Now no longer a devotee, he uses his blog http://saibabaexposed.blogspot.com) to record memories and comments on the Sai Baba and also points out inaccuracies in his philosophical and theological presentation. There aren’t only religious blogs but also anti-religious blogs on the net.
One blog titled Evangelical Atheist, helping mankind overcome religion (http://evangelicalatheist.com), speaks about the festival of Holi in one of the many posts. It says, “So, if you’re planning a trip to India, go in March and pack old clothes. You’ll have a great time. But don’t forget that you’re surrounded by people who worship a God with the head of an elephant and fully expect to come back to life as a cockroach if they’re bad.”
The blog is anti-religious and deals with such issues. Another blog (http://religionisbullshit.net/blog/index.php) has articles and opinions on absurdity and discusses the dangerous side of religious beliefs. It is certain that there will be more unique uses of the blog in times ahead. Newer and more innovative methods to use this exceptional Internet tool will be seen. The time is certainly near when every single person can have his blog where he can show his creativity, worth and even religious preferences.
